Heat And Possible Severe Storms In Omaha/CB Region

As a first-of-the-season heat wave hits, the Omaha National Weather Service keeps an eye on possible severe weather in the Omaha area. The National Weather Service Office in Valley, Nebraska, has issued a "Marginal" to "Slight Risk" of severe storms for eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including northeast Nebraska and northwest Iowa, and southeast Nebraska into northwest Missouri. This means a level 2 out of 5 for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms for some areas, mainly northeast Nebraska, northwest Iowa and northwestern Iowa. The primary hazards will be large hail and damaging winds.

They say the primary hazards will be large hail and damaging winds.
