Work wraps up on Lincoln Airport Terminal Project

The Lincoln Airport's new terminal project, which took two years and two months to complete, has been completed. LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The new terminal project at the Lincoln Airport is complete after two years of renovations.
The Lincoln Airport hosted a open house Thursday afternoon. People had the chance to stop by and check out the new offices, signage, baggage area and more.
Work on the north side of the terminal wrapped up in June of last year. With the remodel, the airport hopes this puts Lincoln on the map, alluring more passengers and hopefully someday bringing in another carrier to come in and use the building.
“The building itself though just puts us above some of the other airports, not just in Nebraska, but across the country to just set the bar of what regional airports can look like,” Lincoln Airport Communications Director Rachel Barth said.
The next big project the airport will undertake is redoing the main runway but funding still needs to be secured for that to start.
