A man is accused of possessing a fully automatic handgun during a disturbance in northeast Lincoln on Tuesday. Lincoln Police have arrested 22-year-old Derrick Conley for possessing a defaced fully automatic handgun during a disturbance in northeast Lincoln. The incident occurred shortly after 8:05 p.m. The victim reported that a former female acquaintance had arrived to collect money and a video gaming system from him, but when she refused, she contacted friends who arrived. Police found a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, a device attached turning it fully automatic, and no serial number in plain view inside the vehicle. Conley was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of an defaced firearm, possessing a machine gun, and disturbing the peace.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man is accused of possessing a fully automatic handgun during a disturbance in northeast Lincoln on Tuesday.
Officers were responded to a disturbance at a home near 57th Street and Ballard Avenue just after 8:05 p.m.
The victim reported that a former female acquaintance arrived to collect money and a video gaming system. But when the victim refused, the woman contacted friends who arrived a short time later.
Police said one of the friends, later identified as 22-year-old Derrick Conley, showed a handgun in his waistband before placing it in a vehicle.
Officers said they located a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, a device attached turning it fully automatic and no serial number in plain view inside the vehicle.
Conley was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of a machine gun and disturbing the peace.
