A man was caught asleep Tuesday inside a stolen delivery truck in Lincoln, police say. Officers found Giovanni Corbino asleep inside a stolen delivery truck from Lincoln Russ's Market in Lincoln, Nebraska. The truck was left unlocked and had been left with the keys still inside. Corbinos, 37, was seen on security video getting into the truck and driving away. Police later found the truck with GPS tracking equipment near 20th and J streets and arrested him on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking, along with DUI and possession of marijuana.

Officers find man asleep in truck stolen from Lincoln Russ’s Market, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was caught asleep Tuesday inside a stolen delivery truck in Lincoln, police say.

Around 9:50 a.m., officers were sent to Russ’s Market near 17th and Washington streets on a report of a vehicle theft.

Police said a driver parked a box truck near the loading dock and was delivering baked goods to the store.

The truck was left unlocked, and the keys were inside.

Giovani Corbino, 37, was seen on security video getting into the truck and driving away, according to police.

Officers later found the truck — which was installed with GPS tracking equipment — near 20th and J streets.

Corbino was found sleeping inside the truck, according to police.

He was arrested on suspicion of theft by unlawful taking. He was also cited on suspicion of DUI and possession of marijuana.
