LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Coming off the major announcement that “Moulin Rouge!” will be coming to the Lied Center for Performing Arts in February 2025, there is an exciting rest of the month to come from broadway to music.

The Lied is bringing in the first of two nights of To Kill a Mockingbird on Tuesday starting at 7:30 p.m. Along with that, the second week of Jazz in June has musicians The Spicy Pickles featuring Hannah Rodriguez playing at 7 p.m. Because of the two events happening simultaneously, the Lied said to be prepared for downtown to be busier.

Later in June, The Glenn Miller Orchestra and comedian Hasan Minhaj will host a variety of performing arts fans to Lincoln.

“The original vision of the Lied Center when it was built was to bring the top artists and the biggest events to Nebraska so people shouldn’t have to go to Los Angeles or New York or Chicago to see the absolute best and the performing arts and it’s kind of amazing to see how year over year that has just grown,” Lied Center Communications Manager Lauren Silverman Durban said.

If you haven’t purchased broadway season tickets yet, the new 4-show broadway packages (Moulin Rouge!, Back to the Future, Beetlejuice and Disney’s The Little Mermaid) go on sale Tuesday at 11 a.m.
