Rock band Fall Out Boy is set to perform at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on April 5, part of their second leg of the So Much For (Tour) Dust tour for their latest album "So Much (For) Stardust). The band will perform with opening acts from Jimmy Eat World and Hot Mulligan and Carr. Rock band Palaye Royale will perform on a seven-date tour in honor of their single "Dead To Me," which broke the Top 40 on rock radio in America. Pop duo The Driver Era featuring Ross and Rocky Lynch will perform at The Steelhouse in Omaha, Omaha, on April 11 while on tour. New indie rock artist Peter McPoland announced on March 20 that he will perform across the midwest on a mini-tour.

In the past few weeks, musicians have been announcing their upcoming tours and have turned a slow year for live music in Nebraska into one with back-to-back performances worth going to.
Music scene icons and legends like Billy Idol and Journey have been booked for shows in Omaha and Lincoln in the coming months. Check out this list of a few of the many concerts in Nebraska that are worth going to.
Fall Out Boy - So Much For (2our) Dust
Rock band Fall Out Boy will be performing at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on April 5. This will be their second-to-last performance for the second leg of the So Much For (Tour) Dust tour for their latest album “So Much (For) Stardust.” The band will bring in opening acts from Jimmy Eat World with their 2000s rock hit “The Middle,” Hot Mulligan and Carr.
Fall Out Boy has many hits including “Centuries,” “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and more. Fall Out Boy plays songs from their entire discography and gives praise to each of their eight albums in their setlist, as well as throwing in a “Magic 8 Ball” surprise song before their encore.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
Rock trio Palaye Royale announced an intimate seven-date tour on March 20 in honor of their single “Dead To Me,” breaking the Top 40 on rock radio in America. They will be performing at the Slowdown in Omaha on April 5.
Palaye Royale currently has three EPs and four albums out. Their latest EP “Songs For Sadness” released on Jan. 19. Some of their hits include “Lonely” and “Mr. Doctor Man.” Tickets for their show go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 22 on the Slowdown’s website.
Pop duo The Driver Era, featuring Ross and Rocky Lynch, will be performing at the Steelhouse in Omaha on April 11 while on tour this spring.
Ross Lynch was previously in Disney Channel projects and notably starred in “Austin & Ally” and “Teen Beach Movie.” The duo began releasing music in 2018, and their most popular songs are “A Kiss” and “Afterglow.” The performance begins at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
New indie rock artist Peter McPoland announced on March 20 that he will hit the road on a mini-tour across the midwest. McPoland will perform at the Slowdown on April 21.
McPoland recently blew up on social media for his single “Digital Silence” after putting clips of it out on TikTok. He currently has two albums, “Piggy” and “Slowdown,” out on streaming platforms and has been teasing a new song on his social media that has yet to be announced. Tickets for McPoland’s show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 22 on the Slowdown’s website.
Indie rock band Silversun Pickups will perform at The Admiral in Omaha on April 23. Silversun Pickups will have support from Rocket at their show.
The band has been putting out music since the 2000s, including hits “Lazy Eye” and “Panic Switch.” The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $35, as well as VIP packages which can be purchased on The Admiral’s website.
Iconic rock musician Billy Idol will be performing at the Pinewood Bowl Theatre in Lincoln on May 16. Billy Idol has yet to perform in Lincoln, but he had a show in 2008 in Omaha. The expanded edition of his album “Rebel Yell” will release on April 26.
Idol has had many hits throughout his career starting in the early 80s. Some of them include “Eyes Without a Face,” “Rebel Yell” and the 2001 remaster of “Dancing With Myself.” His show begins at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
Rock band Greta Van Fleet will be performing at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln on April 29 on the “Starcatcher” world tour. Greta Van Fleet’s album of the same title was released on July 21, 2023. Greta Van Fleet will be bringing along opening act Geese.
Greta Van Fleet has hits “Highway Tune” and “Light My Love” from previous albums. The music begins at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster. The University Programming Council is currently offering $5 tickets while supplies last.
Local Natives - Time Will Wait For No One But I’ll Wait For You Tour
Indie rock band Local Natives will perform at The Admiral in Omaha on May 14. They’re aiming to focus on coming to cities that their fans have asked them to stop in and places that they have not visited in a long time. The band will have support from artist Uwade.
Local Natives has indie hits “Dark Days” and “When am I Gonna Lose You.” The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on The Admiral’s website.
Pop-rock band X Ambassadors will perform at the Slowdown in Omaha on May 17 on tour for their upcoming album “Townie,” releasing on April 5. X Ambassadors will bring opening acts New West and Rowan Drake with them at the Slowdown.
X Ambassadors has had radio hits in the mid-2010s, such as songs “Renegades,” “Unsteady” and “Jungle” from their album “VHS.” The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on the Slowdown’s website.
Pop band Bleachers will be performing at the Steelhouse in Omaha on May 22. Bleachers will hit the road on May 18 to promote the release of their latest self-titled album that was released on March 8. Bleachers will welcome Samia as their opening act.
Bleachers is fronted by Grammy-award-winning producer, singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff, who is famous for working with musicians Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde. Antonoff was also part of pop band Fun., who had hits “We Are Young” and “Some Nights.” Bleachers have hits including “Rollercoaster” and “I Wanna Get Better.”

Pop rock group Portugal. The Man will perform at the Steelhouse in Omaha on July 7 on their “Knik Country” tour. Portugal. The Man will be bringing Spoon Benders on tour with them.

Indie rock band Vampire Weekend will be performing at the Pinewood Bowl Theatre in Lincoln on July 23 on their tour celebrating their upcoming album “Only God Was Above Us” which releases on April 5. Vampire Weekend will be bringing support from Ra Ra Riot.
Vampire Weekend has been making indie rock hits since 2007, with hits “A-Punk,” “Campus,” “This Life” and “Harmony Hall.” The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
Folk musician Hozier will be performing at the Pinnacle Bank Arena on Aug. 14 on his tour promoting his album “Unreal Unearth,” which was released in August 2023. Hozier will be bringing opening act Allison Russell on tour with him.
Hozier has hits including “Take Me to Church,” “Work Song,” “Would That I” and “Someone New.” The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
Alternative rock band Cage the Elephant will perform at the CHI Health Center in Omaha on Sept. 16 on tour for their upcoming album “Neon Pill” which will be released on May 17. Cage the Elephant will be welcoming opening acts Young the Giant, with notable hits “Cough Syrup” and “Mind Over Matter,” and Bakar, with his hit “Hell N Back.”
Cage the Elephant has been putting out music since 2009, including iconic songs “Cigarette Daydreams,” “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked,” “Come A Little Closer” and “Trouble.” The show will start at 6:30 p.m. and tickets starting at $25.50 can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
